Question

I have noticed that there seems to be 2 different new covers for Felicity Saves the Day. One where she's wearing her summer dress and the other where she's wearing the lilac new meet gown. I have not seen them in person yet. I have seen a couple new 6 book sets out but they were shrinkwrapped and couldn't open them in the store.

On the AG site is where I saw the version with the lilac gown photoshopped in place of the summer gown(like Meet Felicity where it was done in place of the rose gown), but many of the versions being released right now she's still wearing the summer gown. Is the summer gown going to be phased out? Are any of the other pictures inside the book also replaced with the lilac gown? Could the summer gown be retiring in the near future?

Does anyone know anything about this?

I don't think the summer gown is going anywhere. They just repackaged it to include her hat and shoes with it, so that seemed like a good sign that it was staying as a part of Lissie's collection. If it were going to be gone, they probably would have gotten rid of it when they got rid of the tea lesson, party treats and chocolate set. (I am still really upset about those items being retired!)

I don't know about the different book covers, though. I noticed the two covers as well and was wondering about those myself.

I hope that Lissie's summer dress isn't going anywhere, because it's one of my favorites!

I was wondering what AG will do about the Happy Birthday, Felicity! cover and illustrations, now that the chocolate set and treats have sold out. This is partly what makes me hope they're releasing an updated version of the chocolate set, because they cannot possibly photoshop in the new tea set and without significantly changing her stories!

You're right about her Birthday story, how can they change a lot of her major accessories when they're still all through her books? AG isn't being very sensitive about some things, IMO.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">This is exactly what I thought. But then the bad voice in my head was thinking maybe they put it together so they could get rid of the stock of hats and shoes as well. I imagine they already sold less of the hat and shoes than the dress. (Because it brought the old outfit to almost $40) So because the shoe/hat set was a smaller seller than the dress, they repackaged remaining stock, and will be able to get rid of them together.

I hope my first thought (that they will stay, because they went to the trouble of repackaging) is right.

And what's the deal with the same dress on 2 covers? Does the "Changes" cover still have the work dress on it? That's the one that bothers me. The dress isn't even available.
